Partials & Dentures

Partials & Dentures

When crowns, fillings, and other restorative measures won’t suffice for decayed and damaged teeth, Dr. Chin may recommend full or partial dentures.

The Differences

Full and partial dentures are designed to replace missing teeth. These prosthetic devices can be permanent or removable, and they may be secured by implants, if you prefer. A partial denture replaces a few teeth on the upper or lower arch by fitting between existing, healthy teeth. The partial can be retained with hidden clasps or implants. A full denture replaces all teeth on the upper or lower arch and is often retained with natural suction, denture adhesive, or implants.
